Finally, we’re back!!

28 Jan

For whatever reason it’s been a busy season since our last post and we are indeed still a bit behind in our updates of past events.  In order not to delay any longer we’ve decided to put out an event for February 16th.  You know the routine.  Lets round up a cast of characters and banter about a theme.

Looking forward to renewing the FMC in 2013.

So sorry… you’ll have to talk to your chief resident about that.

I believe we’re full! JDavidR, FrancineO, HilaryB, Courtney, Rod, KenA, Valeria, + the secret weapon, Kent & Suzanne = 10. Nominate themes, and we’ll get the assignments made.

It’s all coming back to me now: with your reservation, you need to nominate a theme… select from the list, or invent a new one. Once we have 8 diners we will open voting for the nominated themes.
My theme nomination is Kozy Shack — limited ingredients.

Kent and I are in! Shouldn’t the theme have something to do with the number 13? This is FMC #13 taking place in 2013 after all. Triskaidekaphobia, maybe?

Apparently, attempting to send out a big group email announcing this event marked me as the lowest form of email spammer, and now my outgoing email capability is in a little “time-out” of unknown duration. If you didn’t get the email notification (it’s somewhere in queue limbo), I apologize, but it underscores why subscribing to the FMC blog will provide you with the earliest notification to sign up for future events. I got some RSVP’s via email, and cross-referenced those times with replies here… the group is getting numerous, so if you didn’t make it into this one, we’ll be having them more frequently, and going forward we’ll be giving a higher priority to anyone who hadn’t participated in the most recent one… (if that makes sense).

What I need now from participants is your theme nomination (post here, or email me) — as soon as I get a few, I’ll set up a poll, and the full voting body of the FMC will weigh in and decide what we’re cooking. It’s good to be back!

      got a couple ideas:

“she blinded me with science!” – use some form of kitchen chemistry to make something avant garde, weird, or just a different take on something ordinary.

“rocky mountain high” – get some altitude, make something you’d imagine eating in the rockies, the alps, the himilayas, or whatever range you fancy.
